"Nueltin Lake's awesome fishing history is still to be
written, because the angling just keeps getting better! That's because
Nueltin is one of the most Amazing Lakes in North America."

Lake Trout
Tackle-busting Lake Trout is one of the main reasons anglers return to
Nueltin year after year. Hundreds of trophy Lakers over twenty pounds are
caught and released each season. The structure and make-up of the lake
provides more ideal Lake Trout water than any lake in North America.
During our short ten-week season, the water temperature remains stable and
trout as a rule can be caught in shallow water all season long. Casting
and trolling big spoons with single barbless hooks works the best. For the
fly fisherman, records are broken every year on Nueltin as fly-fisherman
from around the world come to do battle with the famous Nueltin Lakers.
Northern Pike
Nueltin Lake is recognized throughout North America as being the hot
spot for trophy Lake Trout and that sometimes overshadows the incredible
Northern Pike fishing that is available on Nueltin. Over the years Nueltin
has built up a loyal following of die-hard Pike fishermen who return year
after year. Nueltin offers hundreds of unexplored shallow back bays which
provide excellent habitat for Northern Pike producing trophies up to the
mid-thirty pound range and lots of fast hard-hitting action in the 10-20
lb. range.
Arctic Grayling
For the ultra-light or fly-rod enthusiast, Nueltin offers several fast
moving rivers and streams where one can fish for the feisty Arctic
Grayling. Fast flowing waters and rapids provide anglers with non-stop
action, producing grayling that average 1.5 lb., with many over 3 lb. and
some each season over 4 lb.
Walleye
Treeline Lodge guests now have the opportunity to fly-out to sample
walleye fishing on Keewatinkinokumaw Lake. This fly-out lake was developed
to provide our guests that added option of fishing another species. The
non-stop action will satisfy even the most discriminating Walleye
fisherman.
Catch & Release Policy
Release today for a better tomorrow! Nueltin has been the
forerunner in conservation in Canada. The caliber of fishing at each
location on Nueltin is the highest in the country due to the early
commitment to conservation. Nueltin Lake anglers have led the "catch &
release" program. Over 90% of all the Lake Trout, Northern Pike and Arctic
Grayling caught on Nueltin since 1979 have been released. And this
includes thousands of trophy-sized fish!
