Windy River Camp, Northwest Territories

Windy River is Nueltin's northernmost camp and was built to provide access to the large area of Nueltin north of the Narrows. The camp is situated on a rock hill overlooking the mouth of Windy River. The surrounding scenery is simply breathtaking.

Windy River accommodates ten guests in a large comfortable complex. There are four separate bedroom areas, a well equipped kitchen and two separate shower rooms in the main facility. A full line of groceries, fresh meats, vegetables, and canned goods are supplied.

The camp managers will be on hand to help you in any way they can. Arrangements can be made to prepare meals and look after clean-up, to free up valuable fishing time. Although there are no guides, the camp manager will assist you and point out the most productive fishing areas.

Windy River guests need only bring there fishing gear, clothing and personal items. Everything else is provided. Guests fish two to a boat, in comfortable aluminum 16 ft. Lunds with brand new 15 h.p. outboards. The boats are fully equipped, having swivel seats with cushions, life jackets, landing nets, etc.
